Although identical in size and form to the above desk, this desk has a dark leather inlay writing surface, walnut frame, and tapered walnut legs that contrast nicely with the lighter, highly figured cherry drawer fronts and aprons. The ash drawer sides also contrast nicely with the cherry and walnut. The simple form and clean lines are clearly Shaker in origin, but the overall look and feel of the desk is very contemporary. Shaker Style Bookcase
When I first sketched this book case, it had a classic Shaker form although it is not precisely like any Shaker item I have ever seen. The clean lines, nice proportions, and small footprint make this bookcase with door and drawers ideal for the storage of many office or living room items. The door also has a lock with a custom brass escutcheon and is useful for securing small items or important papers. The door and graduated drawers have decorative edge beads, and the back is solid edge beaded cherry. Overall size 42" high, 40" wide, and 12" deep.

Small Bookcase
This small bookcase is constructed of SIPO mahogany. The finely reeded pilasters and edge beading on the top face, shelf and solid wood back give the case a restrained Federal look. At 30" high, 32" wide and 12" deep this bookcase is useful in almost any setting.
